The Embassy of Spain in Kiev advises all visa applicants in Ukraine on the process of applying for a Schengen Visa (Business, Tourism, Transit, student, Invitation and a visa to attend Congress or Symposium) to submit their visa applications to the Embassy of Spain in Kiev, with a prior appointment only.

Important Announcement

Applicants can send a SMS with the following text to get an update on the status of their passport.
The message is

• SMS text - VISA ESP [passport no]
• Sent SMS to 7788
• You will receive the following Passport status
• Passport in process
• Passport at VAC awaiting collection
• Passport sent via courier
• The SMS charges are 5 UAH for all service providers which includes taxes

Only the following insurance and Travel insurance companies will be accepted. Please check the link.

All applicants – groups and individuals will have to first come to the Spanish Visa Application Centre to submit their documents and then will have to go to the Spanish embassy on the same day to pay the visa fees in dollars. The Applicants only have to pay for service charges at the Visa Application Centre and not the visa fees.
The Applicants will have to carry the stamped Visa Application Form as a proof of the submission. There is a cashier counter at the Embassy where they show the stamped application form from the Visa Application Centre and then pay for the visa fees.
Please Note: All visa fees payments will have to be made in dollars and at the same day of submission before 15:30. 

• Ukrainian citizens.
• Legal permanent residents in Ukraine (for a minimum intended stay of at least 6 months)

The Embassy of Spain in Ukraine will not issue visa to Ukrainian citizens who live permanently outside of Ukraine. Please contact the Embassy of Spain in your country of residence.

Excluded from the necessity to book appointments through the call center/website are:

• travelers in emergency cases (e. g. but not limited to: funeral, urgent medical treatment)
• Diplomats traveling to Spain on official visit
• Minors Traveling alone / (Student Minors )

They are requested to go to the embassy directly to submit there application.
